York, Maine Wedding Photography, The Reading Room
Sue and James had the most incredible day for their wedding. The combination of a great and fun couple, great location, and wonderful summer weather made for some great photography. Sue got ready at the lovely Chapman Cottage while James got ready at The Harbor Crest, right across the street from their reception venue, The Reading Room. What a place that is! It’s a private club in a great spot right on the shore and is just amazing inside and out. A perfect place for a wedding day celebration!
The couple were married at The Star of the Sea Catholic Church, also in York. It was a great ceremony and was a great start to an emotional and love filled day. Nubble light was the couple’s next destination for some group photos followed by The Wiggly Bridge. Nubble Light was crazy with people (it being a perfect Saturday in mid summer) and I think photos of Sue and James must surely be all over the Interweb now after hundreds of tourists took their picture in front of the iconic Maine landmark! You can guess what Wiggly Bridge is all about. It really does wiggle like crazy when you walk across it!
Cocktails and reception activities at The Reading Room were out of this world and food was just fabulous. If it wasn’t a private club, I’ve sure most of the couple’s guests would be headed back soon for another dinner! Dancing, conversations, eating, drinking, and celebrating all went on in great style well into the evening with everyone having a great time. Thanks to Sue and James for including us as a part of their day. Vicki and I wish them all the best.
Below are a few highlights. Enjoy!
